The aim of the consultation is to get to know you a little, understand how you 'use' your property and learn about your lifestyle needs and style preferences. Sally will look at your project and advise you on the appropriate course of action.

Design Process Including costs:

The initial consultation will end with Solo House having several ideas about the direction of the design. A second meeting will then be scheduled where a concise brief will be worked out. This meeting will be followed by other meetings as necessary where an outline of the colour-scheme, materials and overall feel for the design will be agreed upon. All of these meetings are part of the design process and completely free of charge.

Design Fees:

Commercial: Commercial contracts, overseas commissions and large public buildings are usually priced on an individual basis. Unlike some companies, we do not charge any additional cost for extra site visits, 3D visuals or any of the other hidden costs that are sometimes charged by designers; the price quoted is the price you pay.

Residential: For residential projects costs range bewtween £295 - £645 per room. (ie. a large kitchen would be at the top end of the scale, and a small hallway near the bottom end). The minimum design fee for any one commission is £550 NB. if there are more than two rooms being designed, the above 'per room' costs would be reduced.

Following the initial consultation Solo House will provide a full quotation of the design costs for all the rooms required.

- the design fee includes but is not limited to, sourcing of all fabrics, wall and floor coverings, acquisition of samples and brochures, 3D visuals and moodboards outlining colour-schemes/materials for use by the chosen contractors.
